Exhibition registrations have opened for the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS), which is set to welcome visitors from 19 to 27 February 2022. The 91st Geneva Show had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, leading to speculation that it may not be staged again as motor shows lose relevance. The show organisers have announced that the upcoming event ‘promises to be an exciting evolution, which is reported to be substantially different from the past, assuming favourable pandemic conditions’.
There will be two press days on 17 and 18 February, prior to the show’s official opening. GIMS CEO, Sandro Mesquita, said: “With the dispatch of the tender packages, we are now officially starting the organization of GIMS 2022. We really hope that the health situation and Covid-19 policy regulations will allow us to bring it to life.”
More details on the concept of the next GIMS will be presented in the coming weeks, according to the organisers.
