I possess a collection of exquisite vintage cars in pristine condition, housed in my barn, which I intend to sell and earn a considerable profit.

An anonymous retired businessman and mystery car enthusiast is parting with his remarkable collection of classic cars that date back to the 1920s to the 1990s. Over the course of 45 years, he carefully collected and restored around 30 timeless vehicles, which were predominantly kept in a barn in Burton-on-Trent, Staffs. The owner is now selling ten of his prized cars, valued at £80,000, which have been stored in the barn for decades. The oldest car being auctioned is a rare 1923 open two-seater Citroen, while the most valuable vehicle is a 1928 Franklin Airman, worth around £20,000. The collection also includes finds such as a 1952 Austin A125 Sheerline, a 1929 Peugeot open tourer, and a 1928 Chevrolet doctors coupe. A 1981 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit and a 1973 Rolls-Royce shadow 1, originally purchased by the seller, are also part of the auction. The most modern car available is a 1997 Jaguar 3.2 sport. Classic car consultant Jim Ronan of Hansons Auctioneers, handling the sale, described this extraordinary collection as a “secret small car museum” that celebrates motoring history from the UK, the USA, and France. Ronan added that although they may be covered in dust, all the vehicles are in remarkable condition, considering their age, and will soon go under the hammer at Bishton Hall, Staffs., on March 18.
