After Decades in Obscurity, a Rare Lamborghini Unearthed in a Garage Sells for a Fortune.

A Lamborghini, considered to be the “first modern supercar”, that had been collecting dust in a millionaire’s chateau has been sold for a fortune. The 1975 Countach LP400 “Perisopio” was one of only 150 built and has now been preserved in near-mint condition. The car features its original engine and has a relatively low mileage count of 60,500 miles. Boasting a top speed of 184mph, the car had been left in the garage of a millionaire’s luxury chateau situated on a French island off La Rochelle since it was bought in 1983. The car was discovered in near mint condition after being idle for around a decade. The vehicle sold for £853,000 when it went under the hammer at the Artcurial auction house in Paris.
