With only a few weeks left until entries for this year’s London to Brighton Classic Car Run close, the organisers have revealed that youtuber and motoring presenter ‘Auto Alex’ Kersten will be one of this year’s participants.
Auto Alex will set off from Brooklands Museum on Sunday 4th June in his 1982 Porsche 944, a car that regularly features on his channel. He will be joined by around 350-400 vehicles entered into the jaunt to Brighton’s seafront via a fantastic route that takes in the Surrey and East Sussex countryside.
He said: “I’m really excited to be taking part this year. The London to Brighton Run is iconic and to be able to do it in my Porsche will be a real honour. Not sure my fiancé Rhianne will feel the same as she’s navigating!”
The route for the Classic Car Run, now in its 33rd year, will take in the beautiful grounds of Penshurst Place in Kent as its midway stopping point where owners can enjoy a picnic and catch up with their fellow entrants.
The third Modern Classics and the 22nd Kit & Sports Car Run will be stopping at the fascinating Amberley Museum in West Sussex, which showcases vintage vehicles and transport from yesteryear.
I’ve never done the London to Brighton Classic Car Run, but I think it would be really fun. I would love to do it in a Porsche 944.
I have never done the London to Brighton Classic Car Run, but it sounds like a really fun event! I’m glad that Auto Alex is participating this year and I hope he has a great time.
