There is just over a week to go before Anglia Car Auctions’ next sale of cars, motorcycles and automobilia on Saturday 1 April and Sunday 2 April. The sale is one not to be missed for fans of American classics.
Amongst the brilliant line-up of US motors is a 1955 Chevrolet Pick-Up that was rebuilt around ten years ago using the chassis and running gear from a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. It’s had two owners since arriving in the UK, is reported to drive well and has an MOT until February 2024. It carries an estimate of £25,000-£30,000.
For those preferring 1960s Americana the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS Convertible will prove tempting. Estimated at £17,000-£19,000, it boasts a 5.7-litre V8 engine and arrived in the UK in September 2021. Believed to be original and unrestored, there are some age-related paint issues, but it runs and drives and the electric hood works well.
The 1964 Chrysler 300K Coupe is rare and very eye-catching. Brought from South Dakota in 2012, it features factory air-conditioning and power steering and brakes and has been in a private collection for a number of years. It’s estimated at £17,000-£20,000.
Another of the American Classics for sale is the 1967 Ford Mustang GTA Fastback which carries an estimate of £48,000-£58,000. A desirable S Code model with the 390ci big-block V8, it first arrived in the UK in 1989 and has been with its present owner for seventeen years. Work carried out between 2018 and 2019 included an engine and gearbox rebuild, a full re-paint, and attention to the brakes and suspension. Fans of Bullitt will love it!
Fast forward to the 1970s and buyers might be tempted by the 1974 Pontiac Trans-Am 455 that is estimated at £17,000-£20,000. Powered by a huge 7.5-litre V8, it features the short nose and small rear window only used for 1974 models and was re-painted around five years ago. Driving well, it has an MOT until February 2024.
Also worth highlighting is the 1989 Chevrolet Corvette C4 that was only registered in the UK in 2000. It has been in storage but runs and drives, and a new headlamp module is included in the sale. There’s been six owners, it has an MOT until February 2024 and this fine Chevy is estimated at an enticing £6000-£8000.
