When it comes to car collecting, many collectors prefer to have a diverse range of vehicles from various brands. However, a man named Steve Clinkinbeard is breaking this trend by putting up a collection of 15 Chevrolet Corvettes at an auction next month. These Corvettes are all fourth-generation “C4” models and are uniformly red in color. Additionally, all of the vehicles boast less than 28,000 miles on their odometers. Of the 15 cars, six are ZR1 models, which come equipped with powerful engines, performance brakes, and tires. Clinkinbeard reportedly aimed to create the finest collection of C4 models in the world, with a strict requirement that all vehicles must be red. These cars, stored in a climate-controlled warehouse and cared for over the years, will be sold at Mecum Auctions in Kansas City between December 1-3. The collection includes a C4 from every year of production (1984-1996), with the earliest model boasting 17,500 miles and the latest one featuring 23,000 miles.
