Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a deluxe version of the EQS electric hatchback, known as the EQS Manufaktur Signature Edition. The vehicle will make its way to American dealerships in the spring and will boast hand-crafted elements. The special edition will be available in the EQS 580 4Matic and AMG EQS grades only; the EQS 450+ and EQS 450 4Matic models will not be included.
The interior of the car has received most of the attention, with hand-stitched nappa leather on the seats, center console, steering wheel, door panels and lower dashboard. The seats are also fitted with microfiber pillows for the headrests, and the center console features chrome “Manufaktur” lettering. EQS 580 4Matic models also come with a key fob in rose gold or gloss black.
The car comes in four color combinations, with two different options available for each model. The EQS 580 4Matic is available in Silicon Gray with Mystic Red leather or Rubellite Red Metallic with Deep White leather. The AMG EQS can be purchased in Night Black Magno or Kalahari Gold Magno, both with Deep White leather. Mercedes has opted for a custom paint process for the exterior colors.

Mercedes-Benz EQS Manufaktur Signature Edition
Mercedes’ personalization division, Manufaktur, offers more choices of exterior color and interior trim materials beyond the standard selections. Previously called Designo Manufaktur, this option has been available on the G-Class for a number of years. However, in 2021, Mercedes expanded availability to other models, including the S-Class, CLS-Class, and AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, stating that the program would continue to expand to other models in the future, most notably the EQ line.Â
Mercedes has not specified the number or cost of the limited number of EQS Manufaktur Signature Edition sedans to be sold in the US. It remains to be seen if other EQ models will follow suit, although the exclusive Maybach EQS 680 SUV has recently been launched.
