“Experience the Thrill of Amelia Island and Ferrari with MyClassicNews”

This article showcases the latest offering by Gooding & Company for Ferrari enthusiasts: the 1953 Ferrari 250 MM Spider Series II with an estimated price range of $3,000,000 to $5,000,000. This specific car holds significance as it is one of the 12 Vignale-bodied Spiders that were manufactured on the 250 MM chassis, and one of only 10 built in the “Series II” style. Chassis 0274 MM was designed with staggered seating and featured a long-range 150-liter fuel tank, a configuration that was built at the request of its first owner, Piero Scotti. The 0274 MM was used extensively in major events such as the Mille Miglia and the Targa Florio, and underwent complete restoration by Ferrari specialist DK Engineering during its stay with the Jess Pourret Ferrari Collection. This incredible 250 MM Spider Series II is making its first appearance in over 35 years and presents an enticing opportunity for collectors. Gooding & Company’s Amelia Island Auctions take place on March 2 and March 3 at the Racquet Park, Omni Amelia Island Resort, with public preview beginning on Wednesday, March 1. Admission costs $40 for general and $100 for auction catalogs. Live auction broadcast is available on their website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
