A fire broke out at Inchcape JLR Preston on Friday (7th April) evening, causing extensive damage to a section to the building.
At around 1AM ten fire engines from Fulwood, Preston, Penwortham, Bamber Bridge, Longridge, Darwen, Blackburn, Hyndburn, and Chorley, together with two aerial ladder platforms from Preston and Hyndburn, attended the dealership on Bluebell Way, Preston.
No injuries were reported. Lancashire Fire & Rescue reported that its firefighters used two fourteen breathing apparatus, two hose reels, and two jets to extinguish the fire.
The incident was declared closed at 10:45am in 8th April.
A spokesperson for Inchcape said: “We are very glad that all our colleagues and the wider community are safe, and no one was hurt in the fire that broke out at our Inchcape Jaguar Land Rover operation in Preston overnight.
“We would like to thank the emergency services and the various support agencies for their hard work and dedication in helping contain the damage.
