A selection of extremely rare Porsches will be available for auction next year through Gooding & Company. These four sports cars are expected to sell for millions due to their rarity. These unique RUF Porsche-based sports cars were created by Porsche tuner and parts specialist Ruf Automobile (RUF), presenting a rare opportunity to own a low-volume model. The cars include a 1997 RUF BTR2 and a Turbo R and Turbo R Convertible from 1998, all based on the ‘993’ Porsche 911, as well as a later 2007 RUF RK Coupe based on the more modern Porsche Cayman. The BTR2 could fetch up to £300,000, while similar Turbo R models sold previously with Gooding & Co. for between £500,000 and £1.7million. With the rising prices of classic cars and the rarity of these RUF models, the collection is expected to fetch millions at the auction, which will take place at Amelia Island in Florida in March 2023. The cars are available for purchase separately. The Turbo R Convertible is a one-of-a-kind model, while only two RK Coupes were made, and the BTR2 and Turbo R models are incredibly rare with only 10 and 15 produced, respectively.
