Italdesign Unveils 2020 Nissan GT-R50 with Astonishing Price Tag

Nissan and Italdesign Collaborate to Create Astonishing 2020 Nissan GT-R50

The long-awaited 2020 Nissan GT-R50, which was created through the partnership between Japanese carmaker Nissan and tuning firm Italdesign, was originally intended to debut at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. However, due to the Covid19 pandemic, the car was only recently launched. The below media gallery showcases the car in its original form, after being long-rendered and teased in images. From a design perspective, this is an impressive ride.

Staggering Price

When it is released to the market, the 2020 Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign will be priced at 990,000 euros (approximately $1.08 million), which is around five times more expensive than the regular GT-R Nismo. Unfortunately, only 50 units of this limited-edition car will be produced and the first batch will be delivered towards the end of the year.

Design Like No Other GT-R

The production model is absolutely mind-blowing in terms of styling, thanks to the bussiness acumen of Italdesign tuning firm. The exterior features special paintwork, new front and rear fascias wrapped in black shape, and other changes to the car’s bumpers and headlights. The roof features a lower center section flanked by raised outer areas, while the back boasts a huge adjustable wing. A new set of 21-inch alloy wheels, custom-built for the model, perfectly completes the changes.

How About the Interior?

The interior cabin of the 2020 Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign also features notable changes, such as the use of generous leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber.

Mechanics and Performance

Beneath the exterior and updated cabin, the car possesses a high-performance 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo engine that outputs a staggering 710 horsepower and 780 Newton-meters, which is more than the GT-R Nismo. The technicians from Nissan added a new suspension system with continuously-adjustable damping, updated Brembo brakes, and a sequential six-speed, dual-clutch transmission.
