The 2020 Geneva Motor Show Goes Online Due to Coronavirus Outbreak
Despite the postponement of the 2020 Geneva Motor Show due to the Coronavirus outbreak, car manufacturers around the world continue to showcase their latest models online. One such company is German tuner firm Mansory, famous for its tuning projects on BMW and Mercedes-Benz models.
Mansory’s latest creation is the 2020 Mercedes-AMG G63, which has undergone extensive upgrades with a carbon fiber body kit and impressive power upgrades under the hood. The new upgrades come at a cost of almost $360K.
The exterior features a flamboyant body kit with carbon fiber components, including new front and rear bumpers, fender flares to fit the oversized wheels, and a new hood scoop. Other carbon fiber elements can be seen on the four fenders and front doors, while the roof attachments add a stylish flair. The kit is completed with a new set of 24-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels.
The Mercedes-AMG G63 comes with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which delivers 585 PS and 430 kW, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. With Mansory’s new power kit, the car’s juice has been raised to 720 PS (710 HP) and 530 kW, making it even faster.
Looking at the price, it is almost double the MSRP of the standard model in Germany. However, those who want something more custom are able to go to such drastic customizations. Furthermore, Brabus, Daimler’s tuning division, also showed up with a customized and extremely expensive G63 at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.
