Plans for Tech Support Centers in Europe and the US Are Underway by LG Chem

LG Chem, South Korea’s renowned EV battery manufacturer firm, has announced its plans to invest KRW120bn (US$10m) to establish technical centres in the US and Europe by 2023 to enhance the customer services offered in these regions.LG Chem, the parent company, stated that it expects its new support centres based in Frankfurt, Germany and Ohio to be fully operational by early 2023, offering customer support specially in the automotive and packaging sectors.

The US and Europe are responsible for over 20% of LG Chem’s global demand. The company already has technical support centres in South Korea and China.

LG Chem has defined its tech centres as “customer support organisations that provide comprehensive technical solutions such as product development, quality improvement, and productivity enhancement to customers and partners who have purchased LG Chem’s petrochemical products.” It further added that a pool of 70 R&D personnel, including application technology teams, will be stationed to provide technical support services for customers.
