Q1 results show a six-fold increase in EV sales for Epyx 1link.

Vehicle disposal channel epyx 1link saw a six-fold increase in electric vehicle sales in the first quarter.

According to Tim Meadows, chief commercial officer at epyx, the 1link Disposal Network witnessed a remarkable surge in the number of electric vehicles (EVs) sold through the platform. He said, “We are seeing exponential increases in EV sales as cars start to feed through to the used market in higher numbers. Year to date sales for 2023 are over 600% up on the previous year.

He added, “Interestingly, they are being bought by all kinds of dealers, showing their increasing retail appeal – although there is a two-to-one split in favour of franchises against independents.”

Meadows made these comments as the 1link Disposal Network sold its 500,000th fleet vehicle, a grey 2019 Volkswagen Golf with 30,000 miles, bought by a dealer in Anglia from a major leasing company.
