Rowan Atkinson auctions rare classic car from his remarkable collection for a significant amount.

FILM and TV star Rowan Atkinson has achieved a significant financial gain by selling a rare vehicle from his personal collection. The Lancia HF Integrale EVO II was initially listed with a guide price of £65,000 to £75,000, but ultimately sold for an impressive £87,750 at Silverstone Auctions in Warwickshire. This classic car was showcased at the Race Retro Show at Stoneleigh Park, listed as lot number 436 and was met with considerable interest. The car was described as “A superb example of the Evoluzione II in a very rare colour with low mileage and celebrity provenance”, which added to its appeal. Atkinson, who has gained a reputation as a collector of classic cars, acquired the EVO in May 2021, and it was subsequently sold in fine condition, with less than 90,000 km on the clock. According to the auction house, the car is ready to be driven and enjoyed, and is supplied with a comprehensive history file and a current MOT. The vehicle was originally supplied to Japan, then brought to the UK in 2011, having been selected for its attractive and rare Lord Blue colour. Previous luxury vehicles that Atkinson has owned include a McLaren F1 supercar, as well as various models from Aston Martin, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce.
