Salon Privé Honors Shelby and VIP Opulence with £1 Million Sutton Line-up

High-performance and luxury car specialist Clive Sutton will exhibit almost one million pounds of high-performance and VIP-spec vehicles at this year’s Salon Privé London event (20-22 April).

Held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the event gathers automotive enthusiasts and collectors from across London and around the UK. The five-vehicle Sutton display is sure to excite the discerning crowds with its celebration of the 100th birthday of performance motoring icon Carroll Shelby and a selection of restomod and ultra-high specification luxury vehicles.

Clive Sutton is the UK’s only official distributor for Shelby products and will display a valuable continuation Shelby Cobra alongside the modern-day extreme of the Shelby brand – the imposing and powerful Shelby Super Snake truck. The truck promises road presence and performance to match with 775bhp, a new suspension system, and comprehensive styling enhancements.

Clive Sutton will also exhibit a selection of restomod vehicles at Salon Privé. Restomod is a term used to describe a vehicle that has been restored and modified with modern components. The process can result in a vehicle that is more reliable, safer, and easier to drive than the original. Clive Sutton will exhibit two restomod vehicles at Salon Privé this year – a Porsche 911 RSR and a Land Rover Defender.

The Porsche 911 RSR is a race-specification vehicle that has been converted for road use. The original engine has been replaced with a 3.8-litre flat-six engine that produces 450bhp. The suspension, brakes, and wheels have also been upgraded to race-specification, and the interior has been trimmed in Alcantara and leather. The result is a vehicle that is as at home on the track as it is on the road.

The Land Rover Defender is a British icon, and Clive Sutton’s example is a modern interpretation of the original. The original engine has been replaced with a 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 300bhp. The suspension, brakes, and wheels have been upgraded, and the interior has been trimmed in leather. The result is a vehicle that is as capable off-road as it is on-road.

Clive Sutton will also exhibit a selection of ultra-high specification luxury vehicles at Salon Privé. The selection includes a Bentley Bentayga, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and a Range Rover Autobiography. The Bentley Bentayga is the world’s most luxurious SUV, and Clive Sutton’s example is finished in a unique two-tone colour scheme.
