Finally, Shelby American has launched an electric vehicle based on the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT.
It is available as an upgrade package for Mustang Mach-E GTs from the 2021-2023 model years, exclusively in Europe. The price of the package is 24,900 euros ($27,500 approximately) for a limited edition of 100 units, marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Carroll Shelby, the founder.
The upgrade focuses on the vehicle’s styling and handling, leaving the powertrain untouched. The Mustang Mach-E GT’s dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup remains unchanged, spitting out a stock 480 hp.
The upgrade includes carbon fiber for the hood, splitter, side mirror caps, and door trim, as well as custom lightweight wheels, a handling package that lowers the vehicle’s suspension, and a sound generator by performance exhaust company Borla. In addition, Shelby adds a graphics package on the outside and Shelby-badged items in the cabin. The upgrade also includes the addition of the vehicle to Shelby’s official registry.

2023 Ford Shelby Mustang Mach-E GT
Shelby decided to launch its first EV in Europe due to the stronger growth in EV sales there compared to the U.S. and the higher number of charging stations, according to the company. “It just makes good business sense for Shelby American,” said Aaron Shelby, a Shelby board member and grandson of the company founder in a statement.
There is a possibility that a Shelby-badged Mustang Mach-E GT may still make it to the U.S. directly from Ford.
